Our clients are banks, exchanges, and asset managers building and running institutional digital asset markets across Asia. We hold licences in Singapore, Malaysia, and other jurisdictions, and operate in production at scale. The systems our engineers build and maintain are the systems regulated financial markets depend on.
The role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. You will drive technical decisions across infrastructure and security, working alongside distributed engineering teams in Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Cybersecurity is a core part of this remit: you will be expected to own security practices, not just support them.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain AWS-based production infrastructure
- Drive and own our infrastructure-as-code practice across the engineering organisation (Terraform or AWS CDK)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting reliable, fast delivery across multiple product teams
- Own the cybersecurity posture of our infrastructure: threat modelling, security hardening, vulnerability management, and access controls
- Embed security practices into the development lifecycle (shift-left)
- Own certification audits and regulatory compliance reviews (ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent)
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response capabilities
- Define and own infrastructure standards; support the development of junior engineers
- Partner with product and engineering leads on capacity planning, cost optimisation, and disaster recovery
Requirements
- Proven track record in a senior DevOps role with direct ownership of production infrastructure
- Deep AWS expertise: ECS or EKS, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and security services including GuardDuty, Security Hub, and WAF
- Strong infrastructure-as-code practice (Terraform preferred)
- Hands-on cybersecurity experience: network security, secrets management, identity and access management, vulnerability scanning
- Experience owning or materially contributing to compliance audits in regulated environments
- Proficient in Python or TypeScript; strong Linux and bash fundamentals
- Solid networking fundamentals: VPC, segmentation, ingress/egress, VPN
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production
- Strong written and verbal English
- Based in Singapore
Good to have:
- Background in financial services, capital markets, or digital asset infrastructure
- Familiarity with blockchain or tokenisation concepts
- Experience with Grafana's LGTM stack
- Relevant certifications: AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or equivalent
- WS Security Specialty, CISSP, or equivalent certification
